Taylor Hicks on Regis and Kelly’s Dream Wedding 08

Taylor Hicks performed his song “The Right Place” during the Regis and Kelly Dream Wedding on Friday Feb. 8, 2008. Contrary to what Regis said, Taylor did not co-write the song. Bryan Adams did. You can tell he wanted to correct Regis, but wisely realized it wasn’t the best time to do so.

You may not agree with me but the cd sales from his first album show it. You honestly can’t tell me if you watched Idol you get the same energy from a song on his cd the same way you did when he did Livin for the city in the finale. I love Taylor too and picked him from his audition to win it all, but he much better live. I’ve watched plenty of videos of him and listened to plenty of recorded songs from Taylor, not even close!

I don’t agree at all, if you listen to his new CD, The Distance, it is fantastic…he is a great performer period!

For all the people who wonder why he won American Idol, this is why. He is a great, “Live” performer, something gets lost with Taylor on a record. Whenever he performs he puts all of himself into his music, keep it up Taylor!

JTFTW reached 20 on adult contempery radio and Heaven Knows reached 19 on adult contempery radio. The Runaround was never realeased to radio. The record company never released any of his songs to top 40 radio.

Don’t blame him for not releasing this as a single, that’s his record label’s fault. He’s also not “washed up”, his next album should be great and hopefully there will be a really good song released as a single. Don’t give up on him.

The RaR was pimped on all the shows that Hicks was on. JTFTW was never heard on radio. ON AI6 Hicks did heaven knows but it was never played non radio either. To bad TRP was featured on AI6, it waould have been a hit.

AWESOME performance. He wisely held his tongue when Regis mentioned him writing the song but you can tell he wanted to correct him.
