Anyone know a cheap wedding photographer near Akron, Ohio?

We are getting married on June 13, 2009. The cheapest I have found is Affordable Photography, with a cost of $700 for 6 hours of service. I am not looking for anything real fancy, I can make, and would rather make my own album from pictures taken. Just want a lot of originals, or a CD full of pictures that i could print them myself at walmart. I am on a tight budget and $1000 is way to much out of my range. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also, any ideas for a good place to get a cheaper cake? $300 is the average price I am finding. Again, looking for a simple but nice cake to serve 75-100 guests.
*nix the cake part, cake was bought

Hi! The yahoo answers community is great for ideas, but is open to everyone around the world.
If you go to they have a local community talk section, where you can post questions and get ideas from other Ohio brides.
Good luck!

I would go with who you’ve got. I’m in Findlay, a smaller town south of Toledo, and the cheapest I’ve found is $1050. There was another one that was $795, but I had to pay extra for prints, plus all her photos have her company name on them. Didn’t like that idea, and by the time I add on prints, it will get to be more than the other guy.
Something to consider- Even if you have a cd of pics, you might not be able to print them at walmart. (I work at walmart in the deli, and a friend of mine works in the photo lab.) They won’t print (even from a cd) unless you have a written copyright release. It’s a pain, I know, but it’s their policy. Check into the photog you’re looking at and see if it includes the copyrights. If it does, great, if not, I’d ask how much extra it is to get them.
*ADD* As far as the cake, check out walmart. Their 3 tier cakes can serve up to 150, and the most expensive one I’ve seen there is less than $200.

You wedding photos are very important. We had a cheap wedding photographer at our wedding and the pictures are horrible. If you can, try to spend a little more on that. I know you have a tight budget, but try. And meet with the photographer before the wedding. Some wedding photographers just take pictures and some of them can be really corny. Ask for a portfolio first.
Good luck! Enjoy you wedding!
