My daughter was a flower girl recently and she loved every bit of it. Her birthday is coming up and I asked her what type of party she wanted. I was expecting Hannah Montana or princess again. No, she said she wants a wedding party, with a big cake, pretty flowers, pretty dresses and dancing.

Anyone have any ideas? Her favorite color is pink, so does anyone have any ideas for flowers that are pink but still cutesy simple enough for a childs party? And simple enough for mommy to do with fake flowers?

Also where can I get a inexpensive white childrens dress? Like flower girl dresses? Her flower girl dress was blue and cost over $200, I really dont want to pay that much again. Some other cheap things I may need: childrens veils, tiaras etc…

Anyone have any ideas?

my fiance and i are paying for everything ourselves and i wouldn’t dream of asking my parents for a dime. however, my dad told me last night that he wanted to give me 1,000 dollars in february for my honeymoon. The thing is, i really want to use that money on the catering since we’re just going to the beach for a few days for our honey moon and that won’t cost too much. so two questions:

1. do you think he’ll mind that i spend it on something else? should i even bother to tell him?

2. the wedding is in June. Should february be early enough to pay for the catering? i would say yes, but i have never worked with a caterer before. we know who we want, but i haven’t met with her yet.
