I am planning my wedding for next february and I want to do purple (plum) and gold. I am thinking about having 4 total bridesmaid which includes my maid of honor and have them alternating purple and gold dresses….I want to keep things simple, cheap, but yet elegant, any ideas as far as flowers, reception decorating, centerpieces, cake ideas? I just started planning and so far all I know is the date and colors….

Is this wedding dress appropriate?

So here is my question.

My best friend recently became engaged, and is planning her wedding. There is a Pnina Tornai dress she has always dreamed of having, but she could not afford the price, so she never really thought about it too much.
It just so happened that someone is selling the exact dress local on Craigslist for less than half the price. It is in perfect condition, and she doesn’t mind wearing a second hand dress at all. We went and tried it on and it fit her PERFECTLY..she won’t even need alterations! It is like it was meant to be. She looked SO AMAZING.
Now here is the problem: She is worried about what OTHER people will think. As you can see, the lace midsection of the dress is a bit sheer. You can’t see like her belly button or anything, but it is sheer fabric. SHe is worried people will think the dress is “trashy” and talk about her behind her back. I don’t get the big deal? It is a long dress, it only shows the TINIEST amount of cleavage ( I wouldn’t even call it cleavage, the dress is actually very modest in the neckline, and she is not large-chested so it works perfectly).
Who cares if part of the front panel is semi sheer? She is NOT getting married in a church, and NOT having a religious ceremony, so she doesn’t have to worry about that.
She also doesn’t care if it looks outdated years from now..she wants something that is different, and that she will love NOW. She doesn’t mind looking back 25 years from now and laughing at her dress choice.
She just wants to look young, sexy, fun, unique, and classy on her wedding night, but a couple people have told her that the dress is “anything but classy” “trashy” “hookerish” and the like.
I am suspecting these are just negative jealous comments, but now she is all broken up about it.
She wants her dream dress SO BADLY, but she does not want people to talk about her behind her back.
What do you think of the dress and situation??

Here is a link to the dress:

and remember..it is NOT a church or religious wedding!!

I have been with my partner for over ayear, we have talked about getting married in the next 5-10 years when we know our relationship can last the distance.
He came home from work today and told me he’d entered us into a competition for the ultimate dream wedding – everything paid for, 50 thousand dollar wedding rings etc. The only catch is we would have to get married completely naked.
I am not a materialistic person, i don’t want a big fancy wedding and he knows this – could it be possible that he is already thinking about getting married now??
Im not sure what to do in this situation, i’ve told him that if we win this competition there is not way im doing it, but why would he enter in the first place?? any answers would be appreciated
Haha to add to the humiliation wedding photos have to be taken – the only part we would have to be naked is at the ceremony, and we are allowed to have a weddingdress and a suit PAINTED on…. horrible
