How to win your dream wedding

My gf was telling me about this dream she keeps having and we can’t figure it out except it involve me her and her ex. Well her dream starts off with her in a castle talking to the king. The king tells her that she was chosen to wed either his son, me, or his daughter, her ex, so that he may have an heir (which doesn’t make sense). He then gives her the choice to have an ear ring(only one tho) or a necklace. The ear ring is the choice to marry the prince and the necklace is the chose to marry the princess. She’s not aware of this however and choses the necklace and is told that she chose the princess to marry. My gf wanders the castle looking for the prince but gets lost and instead finds the changing room and the maids start to prepare her for the wedding. The king then comes in and offers her the same one ear ring or a beautiful dress. This time she picks the ear ring chosing the prince. She then starts to run thruogh the castle looking for the prince again and finds him in the lake garden and tells him that she’s in love with him and that she chose to marry him this time, but the prince just gets up and leaves the garden without a word. So she looks for him again and finds him in the throne room but he still won’t speak to her. Because of this she gets annoyed and starts to yell at him, but realizes that 1 he’s always wearing sunglasses. That cover his eyes and most of his face and 2 he’s crying behind them. The prince then gives her the second ear ring that matches the first and he hugs her. This is where my gf wakes up everytime and this is before her dream is actually over.

I know its long but please we both have been trying to interpret her dream but only got so far as who everyone is. The king is our deceased friend who also was in love with my gf thus the heir. The princess is my gf’s ex who she broke up with in order to go out with me. And the prince is me and like the prince in her dream I’ve been in love with her since I first met her.

My best friend is planning on getting married 2 years from now: Spring 2010. The huge problem is that I am in law school and at that time, it would be my last semester. The other problem is that she is from Dubai and plans to have her wedding there.
This was all dandy until i finally thought realistically and thought, how the hell am I gonna pay for this….not to mention it;s in the middle of school (so i will be missing out on a week’s class in law school). I asked if she could do it in fall 2010 b/c i will be done by then and would have a job but she’s still most likely planning to have it in spring.
The more and more I think about, the more I fear that i won’t be able to go. The tragic part is that I will be one of her bridesmaid and we’ve been best friends for 12 years. it is clearly unthinkable for me not to go. I thought about getting a job part time but it will have to be on the weekends as I most likely will have classes throughout the week. But then that take’s out a huge and important time to study and in law school, you have like 100 pages to read a night.
Not to mention that another best friend of ours is planning to have his wedding the fall of 2009 in LA (I live in NY). so that’s about 6 months apart from the other one and once again during my school time. This all means that I have to save thousands of dollars to fly and stay at out of town/ out of country places to attend my friends’ wedding on NO salary or at best on a part time salary.
I have to honestly say i have a little resentment that they don’t care to consider this at all. when i voiced my concern, all i got was that i should save up for it esp since i have such a long time notice. The notice doesn’t matter when you won’t be making $ for the next 2 years. I’m almost having a panic attak because I fear that I can’t make my friend’s wedding in Dubai (the one in LA is doable). I am seriously dreaming about playing and winning the lotto…. What to do????
Thanks guys! I spoke to my mom and sis about this and i plan on suggesting if she could have her wedding during my spring break. of course she has every right to decide the date but if it’s not during my spriong break, I will not go. My family also said they will help out with the funds.
